Clarence von Cochem is an adorable smaller-sized 3 year old Shepherd mix. Adorable is an understatement for this cutie-patootie, who has the most kissable little face. Clarence has really come out of his shell in his short time at Westside and is no longer the shy little boy with the lowered head. He comes out of his kennel excitedly, eager to meet the volunteer walking him, and walks great next to other dogs. He still startles easily with loud noises but that always reduces with more exposure. Clarence is mid energy and not the typical exuberant pup but, after a short amount of quality time, he really starts to show his sweet, sunny personality. He really loves his people and can be playful and goofy when he becomes comfortable. Although he approaches new dogs and strangers slowly, he warms up quickly if they seem friendly enough. In his playgroup, Clarence gravitates towards dogs with the same gentle personality but tolerates even the grumpy old dogs and the dominant ones. Sweet Clarence would fit beautifully into any home with kind owners and he hopes that you will come down and ask for him soon. He wants to remind you that he might take a few minutes to warm up.
